Holistic New Years

When you’re looking to build a New Years Resolution, think about this:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Resolutions should resolve around striving for balance in your
– spiritual life, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– emotional life and ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– physical wellbeing⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This type of holistic approach is phenomenal, because it takes into consideration ALL THREE ASPECTS and influences of being human. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Follow these tips to setting your New Years Resolution:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Be realistic: Rather than saying ‘I’m going to lose weight’, or ‘I’m going to be more productive’, set realistic and specific goals. ‘I’m going to lose 10 pounds every 3 months’ or ‘I’m going to time block for 30 days to increase my productivity’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Limit yourself: Choose one resolution to tackle at a time. Give that resolution your full attention, knock it out, and then tackle the next!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Plan Ahead: If you begin to tackle a resolution with no plan put into place, it will be that much easier for you to fall off once you come across the first obstacle. Create a plan, a timeline that you will be able to follow, and strategies that you will incorporate when those obstacles do arise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Start Small: Want to become more active? Perhaps your goal is to train for a marathon. Great goal! However, if you haven’t run a mile in over 3 years… then perhaps it would be better for you to start off with aiming to run one mile per week, then two miles per week, then three miles per week and so on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As always, we’re here to support you in whatever way we can ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
